Snowshoe Hiking, a good idea to discover the Alps Ready to go? Set? Put your shoes on and enjoy a snowshoeing hike in the Alps

The snow is finally here and it offers us a multitude of possibilities to enjoy these fairy-tale landscapes of white paradise!

If like us, you are passionate about Outdoor sports, you want to change from skiing or snowboarding, or simply want to experience the other winter season activities in the most memorable places of the Alps such as Chamonix, Megève, the Beaufortain, the Massif de la Chartreuse or the Bauges to enjoy the peaks and powder snow differently, snowshoe hiking is a pleasant option to discover or rediscover breathtaking panoramas!

An outdoor activity, fun and away from the crowds

Alone, with family or friends, set off on an adventure at low altitude or in the snowiest areas to enjoy the calm and nature away from the crowds and noise of ski resorts.

Simply equip yourself with good snowshoes, warm clothes, possibly hiking poles depending on the level of difficulty of the chosen itinerary, a backpack with some snacks, water and we highly recommend a camera for unique shots 😊 (see our blog article on the necessary equipment for hiking).

Accessible to all, snowshoe hiking has many advantages!

It is a way to practice a sport at your own pace, to get out of the "classic" winter activities, to manage your time as you wish, to choose your itinerary, but also to use a mountain guide for the curious, to exchange and create unique memories with your loved ones.

To make it clear one and for all, snowshoe hiking is a beautiful alternative to skiing! It is an activity to absolutely try, which will certainly give you the opportunity to "take some fresh air", to relax, to contemplate the sublime landscapes of the mountain under its wonderful white coat 😊

For the youngest (when are we considered "old"? 😊), it is an perfect pretext to introduce them to the observation of wild animals, make stops for "snowball fights" or building "snowmen".. And that is maybe the best part of the adventure, isn’t it ? 😊
